Dear Chamber Members:

Welcome to the Women’s Chamber First Electronic Fall/Winter Newsletter.

As the only Countywide Women’s Chamber of Commerce in Miami-Dade, we are committed to providing a network for the professional and personal development of our members and to expanding the reach for women in business. Our newsletter is one way that we hope to assist you in staying informed, learning about our upcoming events, and getting to know your fellow Women’s Chamber members.

We have included articles supplied to us from our members and our Trustees, just one of the many benefits that we provide for members wanting to gain exposure. I hope that you find these articles interesting and I hope that you take advantage of this great opportunity and submit a story idea or article for consideration in our next newsletter.

So far in 2010 the Women’s Chamber of Commerce has expanded its reach by including a variety of evening cocktail networkers, an educational lunch & learn series, and fun and interesting speakers like MSNBC’s Mika Brzezinski, Under the Tuscan Sun author Frances Mayes, Sex in the City author Candace Bushnell, and more recently the Travel Network’s Anthony Bourdain. All in all, our goal is to meet the demanding schedules of professional women and provide a variety of events that will somehow fit into your work day by providing morning, lunch and evening events.

In November, we will debut our Breakfast Speed Networker – tailored toward the busy woman who wants to “cut to the chase” and network with as many people as possible before the 9:00 am whistle blows. In December we will wind down the year with cocktails and appetizers at our first annual Holiday Networker – so get ready to mix, mingle and expand your network of professional women.
