Sage Hoffman and Shawna Cruz volunteer to pamper women at the Lotus House, a Miami Shelter for Homeless Women
The Lotus House is a Miami shelter for homeless women that allow over 100 women and children live in a holistic environment for up to a year to heal themselves with therapy, rehab, job training, yoga and dozens of classes such as money management, healthy cooking and job skills. Women’s Chamber of Commerce member, Sage Hoffman, a Mary Kay Independent Sales Director, and Shawna Cruz, Senior Independent Beauty Consultant, recently spent their Saturday pampering a dozen homeless women.
Sage and her organization regularly teach skin care classes at the Lotus House. These women, who have lived on the streets encountering multitudes of traumas, had a moment with Sage and Shawna to cherish and love themselves, while learning important skills for creating a professional appearance due in part to a generous gift from Sage’s mother, Dr. Carol Hoffman-Guzman, founding director of Arts at St Johns, $300 of Mary Kay products for the women at the Lotus House. The gift was a gift from mother to daughter to help support Sage and her interest in the Lotus House.
