Beatrice Leupold is an interior designer and a new member of the WCC.
What is your business?
Bea Interior Branding. I am an Interior Designer specialized in creating interiors for brands, companies and residences who want to reveal their own style, identity and atmosphere.
Where are you from?
I am French, my parents were expats and we lived France. We also lived many years in Panama, Costa Rica, Norway and Miami.
If not Miami, why/how did you come to Miami? I moved to Miami with my family for the first time when I was 15 years old. Later on, my career took me to Norway for several years, as well as France and Barcelona. Today, I am happy to be back.
What is your professional/business history? I started my career in international trade and marketing. For many years I was challenged to find markets for products in other countries. I adapted products to buyer’s needs to meet clients’ expectations with different cultures and nationalities.
Ten years ago, following my love for design I went back to the Interior Architecture School in Lyon, France. Today, I design interior concepts for commercial, hospitality and retail space. I also design for residential projects.
What makes your business successful/unique? Anything you take special attention to or pride in? I have lived in many countries where people had different cultures, behaviors and habits. In Miami where the population is cosmopolitan, my experience allows me to understand the needs and wishes of my clients. I create interiors balancing visual design and complementary materials to create the right sensations and emotions for my clients.
If your business is female owned, how is it running a female owned business? Struggles? Advantages? It is obvious that as a parent, it has been a bit of a struggle to balance business and family; but being a woman has given me more freedom to develop my sensitivity and instincts in my field.
Outside of running the business, what are some of your personal interests? I love nature, enjoying a bike ride at dawn, I continue to travel and am always curious about culture and people.
